It is extremely rare for a 1918 Luger to have been marked by the unit to which it was issued. The mark on your Luger doesn't follow military directives either. My best guess is a post war Weimar era mark, possibly police or para-military but not likely military.There are a lot of marking on the under side of the barrel that I haven't seen on other Lugers. Where the barrel meets the frame on the under side are the numbers 8.83, immediately down the barrel from that is the small cursive "d", then the serial 4194.
