To make a hybrid build work, its recommended to be high SL, so you can use the physical infusion AND a buff (either int or faith based). In this case its good have f.e. 60 dex and enough int/faith for the buffs to use, and some attunement. So if you go straight from the start, you should concentrate one the physical aspect and survivability first.
