Just prior, I had done a complete tune-up, new fluids, etc - the whole works. It started right up, ran for 15 minutes and quit. No spark to the plugs! Following the service manual tests, the coil must be bad. I have a 318 John Deere that has no spark while cranking. It will spark once when you initially crank it, and once when you stop cranking. When I try to start the mower, it cranks fine but engine doesn’t start. When I took the air filter and the top of the carb off, there was gas in there. Gas was coming out of the carb when I cranked it. I took the spark plugs out and they were wet with gas. There is no spark at the spark plug wires. There is plenty of gas in there but no fire.
