Yes survivors can turn from a bite, sadly. But if you press ENTER on the numpad you can spawn another wife 🥳. If you are bitten you will die. There is not question about it. There are a couple mods that help with this. The only cure will allow you to amputate an arm which only works if bitten in the arm.
