When I go to start it after it has sit for a few days, there is an oily film on the exhaust where it comes down out of the head (both sides), and a black oily spot on the ground where it has run down the exhaust.

I noticed that not all the fuel (what I thought was fuel) had evaporated. Looks like there is a leak of some sort on the rear end.
