As far as i know the only difference is the vent liner is not removable in the plug Knight sells. The bare 209 adapter replaces the jacket (FPJ) in the bolt and you load a bare 209 primer into the installed adapter. The adapter is VERY easy to install in the bolt. Then you simply close the bolt when you are ready to fire.To use that it MUST have an Extreme type FPJ bolt body already and those aint cheap. Sportsmans does sell the FPJ bolt body too for under $70. Last i checked Knight wanted $200+ for a DISC to Extreme conversion kit but all you really need is the bolt body. I have a NFPJ 209 primer conversion kit for the Mk-85, so I imagine they are available somewhere for the other older Knight rifles. The NFPJ plug in the Mk-85 is an absolute bear to prime, also the plunger style Mk-85 will not handle BH-209 because of the blowback.
